Registration Procedures

E-mail Print

ALL applicants MUST submit their DSA application directly to the respective participating schools before application cut-off date as stipulated by the schools, and concurrently apply for GAT directly with us.

STEP 1 : Registration

Student applicants and parents/guardians are to read through the ensuing information available in these website before registering for the test. Please refer to FAQ for more information

Applicants are to register online. (Each applicant only needs to be registered once; multiple registrations will be denied)

Please prepare the following supporting documents in advance as it will be required as part of the online registration;

  • A scanned copy of applicant’s school smart card (Ez-link concession card).
  • Academic Records (P4 & P5 Final Year & P6 SA1 results)
  • A scanned copy of the MOE registration document and Passport (applies only if overseas applicant is an International Student, returning SC and returning SPR not registered with any MOE Schools).

For applicants with no internet access, computer terminal will be set up at the Principals Academy's Office for online registration. Please click here for office address.

STEP 2 : Submission
Please ensure that the registration details are accurate and duly completed; and the necessary documents have been provided.
Should applicant choose to pay by cheque, the cheque should be promptly sent within 5 days after the registration. 
(Please note that only duly completed applications including payment and documentation will be processed).

STEP 3 : e-Acknowledgement Email 
An auto e-Acknowledgement email will be sent to the applicant’s registered email address as a form of receipt of submission.

STEP 4 : e-Confirmation Email (Letter of Confirmation)
For successful applications with payment in order, the applicants will receive an e-Confirmation email from the GAT administrator with the following documents:
  1. Letter of Confirmation, also serves as the Entry-proof (Please print a copy of the letter issue by Principals Academy)
  2. Guidelines for Applicants
  3. Direction to Test venue

The test fee for General Ability Test is S$60.00 (excluding GST) and is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Applicants are encouraged to strongly consider their school of choice carefully before applying.

The test fees allow applicants to apply for up to 2 schools as long as the applicants meet the criteria set by each individual school.

Applicants may make payment using one of the following modes:

  • Credit Card – Payment can be made by Credit Card by indicating the Credit Card details in the GAT Online Registration. Please note that the name 'Principals Academy Inc. Pte Ltd' will appear on the credit card slip or bank statement.
  • Cheque – Prepare a crossed cheque issue to 'PAI'. Please write the Applicant’s name and telephone number on the back of the cheque.
